Objective:

To share the lineage of Ashtanga yoga through the benefits of breath, the beauty of alignment, and conscious movement.

Qualifications:

From 2003, I’ve studied several styles of yoga including Iyengar, Flow, Anusara, Restorative and Ashtanga. I began teaching in Spokane in 2006. My primary study has been with Ashtanga yoga in the lineage of Shri K. Pattabhi Jois. I’ve studied at KPJAYI with Sharath Jois, attended several workshops with Tim Miller and Richard Freeman. My study has been ongoing and most extensively with David Garrigues starting in 2005 in Spokane and on to Philadelphia in 2011 when I began to apprentice and assist him daily. I have been traveling with him to Kovalam, India, Europe and throughout the US as his lead assistant since.

Guest Teacher
Three to four times a year each trip consisting of morning mysore classes and weekend workshops.

08/12 – 03/14 – Ashtanga Yoga School of Philadelphia
Apprentice/Teacher
Teach morning mysore classes, assist morning mysore classes and daily shala upkeep.

08/13 – 03/14 – Ashtanga Yoga School of Philadelphia
Director of Mysore
Teach morning mysore classes, morning and weekend introduction to ashtanga courses. Manage student correspondence, teaching schedules and general studio organization. Create promotional materials for both print and web. Organized community events, workshops and outdoor yoga demonstrations.
